If you are attending the Fairfield County Plant Swap and would like to let other swappers know which plants you are bringing and which plants you would love to add to your garden, simply leave a comment below. You can arrange for a ‘Pre-Swap Trade’ so you can be sure you get exactly the plant you want. Just make sure you leave your e-mail address so swappers can contact each other. You can also check out the Gardener’s eXchange page on the The Gardener’s List for possible plant swaps, too.
You do not need to add a comment in order to attend the Fairfield County Plant Swap. This page is simply a service for seasoned gardeners to locate specific plants.
I have bachelor buttons, creeping Jenny, Miss Kim Lilac, Winter hardy Purple Passion Flower Vine, Monkshood and more. I am looking for new plants and grasses for in and around my pond, but the perenial bed could always use something different too. If intersted in a pre-swap trade I can be reached at kissndclown@yahoo.com Michele
Thanks Michele – I’m sure there will be plenty of people to take on some of your plants!
Just as a note (in the interest of ‘full disclosure’), creeping Jenny is listed on the CT Invasive Plant List as being potentially invasive in CT. That means it has the potential to spread and naturalize outside of cultivation. So it’s a case of “buyer beware” and, if you do grow it, please be sure to keep it in check.
I am looking for ferns – Hay Scented, Lady Fern or something similar. I have several Osmunda cinnamomea (Cinnamon Fern) to give away, as well as plenty of Sweet Woodruff, some Achillea Pink Grapefruit (pink yarrow). I also have some lovely variegated hosta I would exchage for ferns. I can be reached at hello_alexa@hotmail.com.
